The first meeting of the partners of the European Comenius project in Greece

The partners of the Comenius school project had their first meeting on the 5th of November. The meeting lasted 7 days- until the 11th of November- and twenty educators attended from six countries of Europe.

During their stay in our country, the partners of this cooperation had the chance to discuss at greater length the activities that will be jointly conducted during this project, to update the work-plan for the first year of the project, to organize the way that the students of the eight schools of the cooperation will communicate and collaborate, but also to get to know each other better.

The workshops of the meeting were crowned with success! Our common goals and our will to achieve our project’s objectives for the benefit of our students, helped us to overcome any obstacles.

During the partners’ stay in Greece we organised excursions and events in order our colleagues to explore the beauties of Greece and experience the Greek hospitality. Together, we visited Meteora and Athens. In this effort of our school, the Municipality of Nea Artaki was a big supporter and especially the Mayor of our city Mr Anastasios Pratsolis, who hosted a dinner in honor of the guests and the teachers of our school. During that evening, 45 students of our school- wearing traditional costumes- presented traditional Greek dances and charmed everyone.

The next meeting of the partners will be held in Bordeaux (France) where our school will be represented by four students and four teachers.
